What Is Nose?

This one’s pretty straightforward, as it’s just another way of saying ‘aroma.’ The ‘nose’ of a wine comprises all the glorious smells that emanate from that glass you’ve just poured — be they tropical fruits, juicy red berries, earthy notes, indulgent spices, etc. The list is endless!

Also called the ‘bouquet,’ the nose is an essential component of any wine-drinking experience. Take a second to really breathe in that bouquet, because it’ll add extra joy to every mouthful.

Swirl, sniff, sip, repeat!
